How to Set Proxy on All User Login Profiles

In this tutorial, we will discuss the continuation of the Tutorial on Proxies, in the previous chapter we explained about the meaning of proxies and their benefits, in this tutorial we will discuss how to set proxies in all user login profiles.

The role of proxies is very important in a company, for example the benefits of being an internet filter, that is, if we give the internet a loss or full to the user, then the user can access Youtube, social media, and so on which will cause the user not to work productively. Maybe later they will continue to open the internet and work to be seconded. Therefore the role of proxy here is very important and widely applied in companies.

How to Normal User Proxy Settings:
Open the Internet Explorer browser
Then click Tools - Internet Options
Click the Connections Tab - LAN Settings
Then checklist: Use a Proxy and enter the proxy server and port
Click Apply and OK

For IT people the steps above are very easy, but what about the user ???

Computer users are computer users who they know are all in order and fast. They don't know much about this and that setting which will then contact the Help desk and be guided which will allow a lot of time to be wasted.

Therefore, you need permanent proxy settings on the user's computer so that the user does not need to do many of the things above.

How to set permanent proxy computers in all profiles:

As you know, the settings using Internet Explorer above will be in one User Profile. This means that when you set the proxy in the meeting room which will be used by other login users, the settings will disappear again. so when another user logs in on that computer then you have to set it up again. for that you have to do this step:

Make sure you open it with Administrator access (or you can run as administrator)
Click Start on computer (or Windows + R)
Enter or type gpedit.msc
Select User Configurations - Windows Settings

Select Internet Explorer Maintenance - Click Connection - Proxy Settings

Then enter the proxy server, for example: 10.1.20.100 the port is for example 8080
You can also provide ip exceptions, usually this is used for your IP Local Intranet, for example 10.1. *. *; 192.168. *. * (Or you can add your own)

If so, you can click Apply and OK
With the steps above, if there is a new user logged in, the proxy is automatically checked and there is already a proxy server set on the user's computer.

Note:
This tutorial applies to Internet Explorer (IE) 9. For IE version 10 and version 11 there are changes.
